Der Konverter 3804B-H wandelt 4 DMX-Kanäle in DSI oder DALI-Ausgänge um. Mit DSI bzw. DALI steuern Sie beispielsweise digitale elektronische Vorschaltgeräte für Leuchtstofflampen. Die digitale Ansteuerung folgt einer logarithmischen Kennlinie und ergibt damit eine augenlineare Helligkeitszunahme über den gesamten Regelbereich. Ausserdem lassen sich die Röhren über die DSI- bzw. DALI-Ansteuerung ausschalten, was durch die vielfach benutzte analoge Ansteuerung (1-10V) nicht möglich ist und einen Netzschalter einspart.

The converter 3804B-H converts four channels of DMX512 to DSI or DALI output. DSI (digital serial interface) and DALI (digital adressable lighting interface) are commonly used protocols to control electronic ballasts for flourescent tubes. The control characteristic is logarithmic, thus producing a linearly increasing intensity for the eye. DSI or DALI-controlled ballasts may be switched off electronically (this is not possible with standard 1-10V analog driven ballasts), saving a separate power switch.
